Welcome back to school!  Something to be aware of: THERE WILL BE A SUBSTITUTE THURSDAY AND FRIDAY.  I expect you all to be on your best behavior.  The two best classes (as determined by the sub) will not have to do Newsday the next week. :)

This next week we will be working on a brochure to show off Utah to others.  You will have time to work on it in class.  No worries.  I will be very specific on what I expect.

Dearest Students,

Welcome to week 2!  I hope you enjoyed your last day off during the month of September.  This week we will be learning about the skills every historian needs.  We will discuss these and do a class activity. Be warned:  THERE IS A QUIZ ON FRIDAY.  This was announced in class today and will be every day until Friday, the lovely day in which you take the quiz.  If you participate in class and stay on court while we learn, you'll be totally fine.

Here is the week overview:

MONDAY: NO SCHOOL - Labor Day
TUESDAY: 6 Historian Skills
WEDNESDAY: Newsday - since this is the first time we've done it, we'll spend more time on it and do one as a class.
THURSDAY: Point of View, Review 6 Historian Skills
FRIDAY: QUIZ on Historian skills

Welcome!  It has been great getting to know my new students this year!  They are enthusiastic, kind, and good students.  We have been learning what is expected all around the school as well as in the classroom.

MONDAY: Welcome to school!
TUESDAY: Intro to the classroom and expectations
WEDNESDAY: UBI Rotation - learning how the RATTLE Rules apply throughout the school.
THURSDAY: Newsday - learning how to do our weekly current events for class
FRIDAY: Where do I play? - working through how the classroom is like a basketball game.  Are you on the court?

Next week we will start into curriculum and be off on our adventure!
